ICAN Sing is a singing and instrument group celebrating the love of music and its universal capacity to reach everyone.  The accessible and interactive nature of music makes it a fun and effective teaching tool. Music can make the difference between withdrawal and awareness, between isolation and interaction. Lyrical melodies, rhythms and harmonies can elicit a response in individuals that stimulates learning, promotes responsiveness, encourages communication and fosters growth.

All of the programmes we offer are student focused to meet the needs of the individual. Prior to enrolling in a class, each student will either individually - or in conjunction with their family / caregivers - complete an online enrolment form. We have class options for ages 5 yrs - adults. The focus of the classes is on creative music and movement. Every individual is given the opportunity to unleash their vocal strengths, extending and challenging themselves without changing what is unique. Our classes encourage creative expression through music and singing, while encouraging connections and interactions between people. During the year the ICAN singers entertain on the stage and in the community. ICAN sing is a huge celebration of the diversity of inclusiveness.

Krissy McGeown is a leading vocalist with over 20 years’ experience. An accomplished performer in her own right, Krissy has been involved in drama and musical theatre from a very young age. Krissy has extensive experience working with, and supporting people with disabilities. Krissy believes that music, singing and drama has wonderful therapeutic rewards, both mentally and physically, and is so excited to be able to share her knowledge and passion with others.

For primary and intermediate aged children with physical / intellectual disabilities. The choir is run by GIANT LEAPS who provide a Music Therapist and Speech-Language Therapist to support the choir and grow every individual.

A therapeutic choir for people with neurological conditions such as stroke, Parkinson and brain injury. The choir is run by GIANT LEAPS who provide a Music Therapist and Speech-Language Therapist to support the group.
